For the third year in a row, a project by maize has been included in the prestigious ADI Design Index, , the annual publication that showcases the best examples of Italian design curated by ADI Associazione per il Disegno Industriale. This selection serves as the preliminary step towards the highly coveted Compasso d’Oro award.

HUB Scuola is the new digital ecosystem for Mondadori Education, bringing together the digital content of textbooks and a suite of interactive tools that enhance everyday teaching and learning. Following the integration of DEA Scuola into the group, the project aimed to merge two existing platforms into a single, unified experience for both teachers and students.

We guided a complete redesign focused on accessibility, inclusivity, and usability, from research with educators and learners to the definition of a new visual and interaction language. The result is a refreshed platform that harmonizes different editorial brands under one coherent identity, supported by a robust design system to ensure long-term scalability.

Launched in September 2024, HUB Scuola now supports over three million users across Italy, standing as a benchmark for digital education and demonstrating how design can meaningfully transform learning experiences.
