Gianfranco has dedicated the last 11 years of his professional career working on projects which helped boosting the adoption and acceptance of PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles) and BEV (Battery Electric Vehicles) as well as sustainable mobility and energy production in general. From 2007 to 2013
Gianfranco has played an important role at Fisker Automotive by being the company’s co-founder and first investor. He also established the sales and after sales network in Europe. Today he is working on creating a new high performance HV-Battery for his electric Fiat 500 to break the world record for electric city cars by travelling in under 24 hours from Salzburg in Austria to Oslo in Norway on Summer solstice day of 2018.
Gianfranco is at the forefront with many international activities around the promotion of the electric sustainable mobility. Ending the fossil fuel era with clean renewable energy as soon as possible is his ultimate goal.
From utopia to reality
It was 1886 when Karl Benz patented the first gas motor car in human history. More than 130 years have passed from that defining moment, and until a decade ago very little had changed. This trend slowly began to shift a decade ago, when the interest and the investments in electric cars started to gain momentum.
