Marina Benedetti teaches the history of Christianity at the University of Milan. She studies heretics, especially women, and the medieval inquisition. She also deals with Waldensians, conservation, and transmission of medieval documents in the religious debate of the modern era. Her latest book is Sentenced to Silence: Medieval heretics (Mimesis, 2017). She also curated the book A history of Christianity: The Medieval Age, VIII — XV centuries (Carocci, 2020).
