Federico Alvarez Igarzábal is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Frontier Areas of Psychology and Mental Health in Freiburg, Germany.

His book Time and Space in Video Games: A Cognitive-Formalist Approach examines how different aspects of time perception (including those described in this article) interact with the medium of the video game, and will be published in January 2020.
