Carlo Carraro

Environmental Economist and President of H-FARM Education

Carlo Carraro is president emeritus and professor of environmental economics at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. He holds a Ph.D. from Princeton University. He was president of the University of Venice from 2009 to 2014 and director of the department of economics from 2005 to 2008. In 2008, he was elected Vice-Chair of the Working Group III and Member of the Bureau of the Nobel Laureate Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). For more than twenty years, he was Scientific Director of Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM) and, from 2009, Director of the International Centre for Climate Governance (ICCG). He is now Scientific Director of the Fondazione Nord Est and Chair of the Executive Board of the European Institute on Economics and the Environment (EIEE).
